Technology in Education

Technology is wherever in instruction: Public schools in the United States now give no less than one PC to each five understudies. They spend more than $3 billion every year on computerized content. Driven by the government, the nation is amidst a gigantic push to make reasonable fast Internet and free web based showing assets accessible to even the most country and remote schools. What's more, in 2015-16, surprisingly, more state government sanctioned tests for the basic and center evaluations will be managed by means of technology than by paper and pencil.

To stay aware of what's changing (and what isn't), spectators must know where to look.

There's the blasting ed-tech industry, with corporate titans and little new companies alike competing for a cut of a $8 billion or more yearly market for equipment and programming. Much consideration is additionally paid to the "early adopters"— those locale, schools, and educators who are making the most shrewd and powerful employments of the new devices available to them.

In any case, a huge group of research has likewise clarified that most instructors have been ease back to change the ways they educate, notwithstanding the deluge of new technology into their classrooms. There stays constrained proof to demonstrate that technology and internet learning are enhancing learning results for generally understudies. What's more, scholastics and guardians alike have communicated worries about advanced diversions, courses in which unequal access to and utilization of technology may broaden accomplishment holes, and that's just the beginning.

State and government legislators, in the interim, have wrestled as of late with the truth that new innovations likewise exhibit new difficulties. The ascent of "enormous information," for instance, has prompted new worries about how schools can keep touchy understudy data private and secure.

What takes after is an outline of the huge patterns, openings, and concerns related with classroom technology. Connections to extra assets are incorporated into each area for the individuals who might want to burrow further.

What Is Personalized Learning?

Numerous in the ed-tech field see new innovations as capable apparatuses to enable schools to address the issues of perpetually different understudy populaces. The thought is that advanced gadgets, programming, and learning stages offer an once-unbelievable cluster of choices for fitting training to every individual understudy's scholarly qualities and shortcomings, premiums and inspirations, individual inclinations, and ideal pace of learning.

As of late, a gathering of associations including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, and EDUCAUSE have made a meaning of "customized realizing" that lays on four columns:

Every understudy ought to have a "student profile" that archives his or her qualities, shortcomings, inclinations, and objectives;

Every understudy should seek after an individualized learning way that urges him or her to set and oversee individual scholastic objectives;

Understudies ought to take after a "competency-based movement" that spotlights on their capacity to exhibit authority of a theme, as opposed to situate time; and,

Understudies' learning surroundings ought to be adaptable and organized in ways that help their individual objectives.

How does technology bolster that vision?

In many schools, understudies are given region possessed registering gadgets or permitted to bring their own gadgets from home. The thought is this takes into consideration "day in and day out" learning at the time and area of the understudy's picking.

Learning administration frameworks, understudy data frameworks, and other programming are additionally used to disseminate assignments, oversee timetables and correspondences, and track understudy advance.

Also, instructive programming and applications have developed more "versatile," depending on technology and calculations to decide what an understudy knows, as well as what his or her realizing procedure is, and even his or her enthusiastic state.

For all the mechanical advance, however, usage remains a noteworthy test. Schools and instructors the nation over keep on wrestling with the changing part of instructors, how to adjust adaptable and "customized" models with the state and government responsibility prerequisites regardless they should meet, and the more profound social test of changing teachers' long-standing propensities and schedules.

In spite of the enormous speculations that many educational systems are making, the proof that computerized customized learning can enhance understudy results or thin accomplishment holes at scale stays scattered, best case scenario.

iPhone X release date, price, features and More

The good news is... this is the only bad news. Apple claims the iPhone X, which is pronounced 'iPhone 10', is worth your money and the extra wait time. This is the 10th anniversary iPhone and it's making big changes for 2017. The iPhone X wasn't the only smartphone announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook on September 12. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were unveiled at the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple's new campus, too.

iPhone X specifications, features

The first thing you notice on the iPhone X is a near bezel-less display on the front side. It is larger than ever at 5.8-inch. There is a notch on the top, but the company has pushed the screen resolution to 1125x2436 pixels, more than any previous generation iPhone models, and calls it the Super Retina HD Display.

The iPhone X is the future of smartphones, the executives said. Apple is doing away with the Touch ID, the fingerprint scanner embedded with Home Button that it introduced with iPhone 5s model. The iPhone X hosts a range of sensors including flood illuminator, infrared camera, front camera, and dot projector to allow customers to unlock the iPhone X by just looking at it - a system called Face ID.

Face ID is faster and more secure than the Touch ID, thanks to specialised hardware and algorithm driving that hardware. "The facial recognition grows with time. It learns your face and adapts to your face" Phil Schiller, Apple VP of Worldwide Marketing said. "It works in day, it works in night." While Touch ID could be tricked one in 50,000 times, Apple said, Face ID sees one error in one million times, citing its own internal data. Face ID will work with third-party apps as well, Schiller said.

iPhone X features a duo of 12-megapixel rear cameras, that are larger (f/1.8 and f/2.4 apertures), and faster. It has deeper pixels, quad-LED True Tone flash, Schiller said. For the 7-megapixel selfie camera, the company says it is bringing Portrait mode feature, which it introduced with the iPhone 7 Plus last year.

What iPhone X colors will you be able to get on day one? Space Gray and Silver will be the only two options available. No red, gold, rose gold or that rumored blush gold option this time around, which is disappointing.

iPhone X design
  • New glass design that enables wireless charging
  • Bigger display, but smaller than Plus phones
  • Easier to hold than an iPhone Plus phone, too
  • Remains water-resistant and comes in only two colors

iPhone X screen

  • Vibrant 5.8-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED screen
  • Apple's 'Super Retina Display' makes its debut
  • Quad HD+ display with a 2436 x 1125 resolution

iPhone X dual-lens camera
  • Redesigned 12MP dual-lens camera
  • Telephoto lens OIS and a wider aperture
  • Portrait Mode enhanced by Portrait Lighting

Wireless charging with AirPower
  • Apple's AirPower pad can charge multiple devices
  • iPhone X also charges with existing Qi chargers

No more home button
  • Bezel-less iPhone X screen eliminates the home button
  • Flick an open app upward to return to the home screen
  • Control Center is now a swipe-down-from-the-top gesture

Face ID replaces Touch ID
  • Unlock your phone simply by looking at it
  • More secure than the fingerprint sensor
  • Also used in conjunction with Apple Pay

iPhone X specs
  • Double the number of high-performance cores
  • Translates into more power for 3D games and AR

Animoji
  • Combines animations with emoji
  • Mirrors your facial expressions
  • Can record your voice to movement and send messages

Apple's ridiculously tricked out TrueDepth camera
  • 7MP front-facing camera takes Portait Mode selfies
  • TrueDepth is full of face-mapping sensors

iPhone X battery life and fast charging
  • Lasts two hours longer than last year's iPhone 7
  • First fast-charging iPhone: 50% recharge in 30 minutes

Augmented Reality features
  • Apple just created the world's largest AR ecosystem
  • New demos are launching with iOS 11
  • It even works on older devices (A9 chip and higher)

The iPhone X price starts at $999 the most expensive iPhone ever made. And that's for the iPhone X with 64GB of storage. How much will the 256GB iPhone X cost? It'll be $1,149, there's no option in between, if you were hoping for a 128GB iPhone X.

iPhone X price into perspective, it doesn't cost much more than a 4.7-inch iPhone 8, which has a screen that's one inch smaller and received a basic specs boost, wireless charging, and a similar glass design. That extra $300 over the course of 24 months is only an additional $3 each week.

List of devices Android Oreo update in India

Google yesterday announced the next version of Android and as expected, it was named as Oreo. Now, one thing that many people and enthusiasts will be thinking is whether their device will be updated to Android Oreo or not. Its always a little difficult to track what companies say regarding updates.

Google

Starting off with Google, the Android-maker has revealed that it will be updating the Pixel phones and the Nexus 6P, 5X and the Nexus Player to Android 8.0 Oreo. For the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the Oreo update could be the last major OS update, but it is possible that Google may try to leverage Project Treble and continue delivering major updates to those devices.

Samsung

Samsung has a huge number of devices at any given point of time. The Korean giant releases several devices every few months, so it can get pretty confusing to keep a track of which devices are most likely to get the official Oreo update.

The Samsung Oreo update rollout will start with the current flagships and then trickle down to other devices based on their age.

  • Galaxy S8  , Galaxy S8+  , Galaxy S7  , Galaxy S7 Edge  ,Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition
  • Galaxy J7 2017 , Galaxy J7 Prime  , Galaxy J5 2017  ,Galaxy Tab S3  ,Galaxy C9 Pro
  • Galaxy A7 2017 , Galaxy A5 2017  , Galaxy A3 2017

Motorola

Motorolas Moto brand of smartphones portfolio has expanded drastically in the last year or so. The company has smartphones in the high-end, mid-range, budget segment as well as the entry level. Even though Motorola uses stock Android on its phones, it may take a while for the update to hit your device.

OnePlus

OnePlus does not have too many devices to bother about. The company has already confirmed that the current flagship, OnePlus 5, as well as the previous flagships, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.

HTC

HTC has been promising to release major Android OS updates faster than usual. This time around, the company has so far confirmed that the HTC U11 will be receiving the Oreo update. In light of this, all existing Nokia Android smartphones are expected to be updated to Oreo.

  • Nokia 8 , Nokia 6 , Nokia 5 , Nokia 3

Xiaomi

Xiaomi has several smartphones in its Mi and Redmi lineup. While the company provides MIUI updates for a much longer period compared to other companies in the Android industry, these updates dont always come with an updated version of Android.

The Redmi series always gets only 1 Android OS update, regardless of the MIUI version. The Mi series, on the other hand, gets OS updates for a much longer period. The Mi3, for example, was launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and was updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Asus

Asus has already confirmed that it will be updating the entire Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 3 lineup will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo by the second half of 2018. Apple just got the green light to test 5G internet for future iPhones

The future of mobile technologies inches ever closer as Apple received the go-ahead to test out 5G wireless broadband connectivity.

Granted by the FCC just a few months after applying for a license, Apple has been granted permission to conduct trials with 5G millimeter wave technology on 28 GHz and 39 GHz frequency bands.

The move comes shortly after the regulatory agency opened up the commercial sale of certain 5G bands, with US mobile carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprintand T-Mobile now making plans of their own to offer consumer-wide 5G within the next two years.

The mobile cart before the 5G horse

5G as a wireless standard is still a work in progress, with experts generally agreeing that the next-generation tech won't hit the mainstream until around 2020.

Apple is exploring the millimeter wave band for 5G tests is interesting though, given that recent 5G announcements from Sprint and T-Mobile have both shied away from the high-frequency bands that Apple is testing.

This can lead the term "5G" to be used loosely this early in the game unveiled its 5G Evolution service this spring, which turned out to be just really fast 4G.

Engineering data relevant to the operation of devices on wireless carriers future 5G networks. In other words, to start preparing for the eventual 5G iPhone that will no doubt exist one day.

Apple has no issue taking its sweet time, however, meaning it could still be years before we can reasonably expect a 5G-compatible iPhone to hit the market.

Though the next-gen service will likely skip the likes of, say, the upcoming iPhone 8, we imagine Apple doesn't intend to get left behind on the next big thing in the world of mobile technology.

Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max smartphone detail Leaked

Lenovo going through a slightly difficult time, the Chinese company got back into the game with its revamped smartphone division, the ZUK brand, which does not seem to want to stop to amaze us. After a short pause, it is all set to make a comeback with the new Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max smartphone offering top-of-the-line specs. Interestingly, two months ago, it was rumoured that Lenovo would be killing the ZUK brand to concentrate on Lenovo-Motorola devices.

The Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max surfaced on Weibo, a Chinese social networking site, alongside a screenshot listing the features of the device. Going by the source, the smartphone will allegedly feature a Snapdragon 836 processor. The spec sheet also hints at 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, of which 239GB is usable.

Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max might very well sport a Snapdragon 836 SoC, the successor of Snapdragon 835 processor present in high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S8, certainly does not go unnoticed. If the screenshot is true, then Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max will be the first phone to be powered by Snapdragon 836 SoC. Incidentally, the Snapdragon 836 processor is yet to be announced but is expected to be unveiled in the month of July.

The leaked picture of the smartphone flaunts a bezel-less display screen seemingly on par with that of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The volume-up, volume-down buttons and the power/lock key can be spotted on the right-hand side of the device. However, since the bottom part of the device is hidden in the picture, it is unclear whether the home button doubles as a fingerprint scanner, as is the case with most smartphones these days.

ZUK Z3 Max will ship Android Nougat out-of-the-box with the companys own ZUI user interface on top. Chances are that this device will come in a 6GB variant as well.
